The PBA Spartans were established in January of 2015 by Eric Reitler, Matt Sands and Chris Estrada. They created the PBA Spartans so that players in Cape Coral, Florida would have the opportunity to compete against the best competition throughout the state of Florida. Each of our players are from the local area that have talent, work ethic and the drive needed to compete at the highest level of baseball for their age group. Our Coaching staff is dedicated to coaching not only the fundamentals of baseball but works to ensure that the players are taught values of life so that they have the tools to be successful as they grow into young men. Updates on the Cape Coral Spartans Travel Teams will be showcased here.

Tick, tick, tick...

On Sunday, August 14, 2015, both the 9U 8U put in solid practices in the Cape Coral heat.  The 9U team is looking to pickup where they left off last year, with continued success and the 8U team is looking to finally take the field and show what they've got after working all summer.  To watch this 8U team week in and week out and to see every player progress is amazing.  These boys have adapted to a new, more intense style of baseball, some are playing positions they have never played before, but one thing is for certain, they are all giving it all they have.  A couple of months ago they took to the fields here in Cape Coral having never played together, most from different recreational teams, but Saturday in Sarasota they will take the field as brothers, as family.

I would like to take a moment to thank all of the coaches.  Head Coach Brandon has put together a great team of guys that have given countless hours to this team.  For that, we as parents are truly grateful.  Thank you to our current sponsors for your continued support, and if you would like to sponsor the team, you can here.  Lastly, the parents.  Without the parents none of this is possible.  We are all grateful for all that you do for this team, we cannot thank you guys enough.

And with just a handful of practices left before we invade Sarasota, this will be the last update until then.  For now, I leave you with this...

The Spartan army stood at the centre of the Spartanstate, whose citizens were trained in the discipline and honor of the warrior society.  Subject to military drill from early manhood, the Spartans were one of the most feared military forces in the Greek world.  At the height of Sparta's power - between the 6th and 4th centuries BC - it was commonly accepted that"one Spartan was worth several men of any other state."

time to go get pumped!!!  time to go to work!!!
