The PBA Spartans were established in January of 2015 by Eric Reitler, Matt Sands and Chris Estrada. They created the PBA Spartans so that players in Cape Coral, Florida would have the opportunity to compete against the best competition throughout the state of Florida. Each of our players are from the local area that have talent, work ethic and the drive needed to compete at the highest level of baseball for their age group. Our Coaching staff is dedicated to coaching not only the fundamentals of baseball but works to ensure that the players are taught values of life so that they have the tools to be successful as they grow into young men. Updates on the Cape Coral Spartans Travel Teams will be showcased here.

New Threads...

A very special thanks to Turtle Shirts Screen Print & Embroidery for the brand new jerseys for our 9U team.  They always make sure the boys are looking fresh when they take the field.  The new threads will be unveiled this weekend as the 9U boys head up to Plant City, hoping the boys come back with a couple W's, best of luck!!!  #spartanfamily #morethanjustbaseball

9U Updates Coming Soon!

Calling on 9U parents!!!  My son plays on the 8U team, so it makes it difficult to shoot photos in two places at the same time.  So I am looking for some help here.  If you have taken any pictures this weekend, (or at future tournaments) please email them to me and I will edit them and post them here.  I am looking to integrate the 9U team to this blog, but like I said the two places at the same time thing is a little tricky. ryanleephotos@gmail.com

2016 Sarasota BreakOut Bash

Sarasota BreakOut Bash 2016

The day finally came when the 8U Spartans had the chance to showcase their abilities at the Sarasota Break Out Bash, and they did not disappoint.  Although they had more losses than they originally wanted, this young team proved they could hang with some of the best in the area.

In their first game they played an experienced team.  At one point they were down by four, came back to tie, but came up short loosing by one run in the last inning.  I am pretty sure everyone got at least one hit.  It was hard to keep track in what felt like 1,000 degree heat.

Game 2, REDEMPTION!  The boys grabbed some snacks and water, then came out bats blazing.  This game was quickly over, as the 8U Spartans had scored over ten runs, the mercy rule was enacted after a huge home-run by #2 Uriyah.  Grand opening, grand closing....  A good solid outing on offense and defense.

Day 2 and once again these boys came to play.  Half the team they played, looked like they drove themselves to the field and some of them had at least 6 inches on some of our kids.  But the 8U Spartans are not easily intimidated.  Again, coming up short, but playing them all the way to the end.

I cannot say enough about these boys.  I know they didn't get the W's they wanted, but to see them finally take the field and go to work was awesome.  Like GM Eric always mentions, #itsbiggerthanbaseball.  Being together just over two months, and facing teams that have been playing together for years, they never gave up, continued to fight to the very end.  Hats off to the coaches and all the work they have put in all summer.  To the parents and everyone that cheered these boys on, passed out water, fruit and kept the cooling towels wet, thank you.  I for one cannot wait until the next tournament.

Game 1 Jitters...  The boys and their bats were alive in the first game.  Only lost by one, but made everyone proud
