The PBA Spartans were established in January of 2015 by Eric Reitler, Matt Sands and Chris Estrada. They created the PBA Spartans so that players in Cape Coral, Florida would have the opportunity to compete against the best competition throughout the state of Florida. Each of our players are from the local area that have talent, work ethic and the drive needed to compete at the highest level of baseball for their age group. Our Coaching staff is dedicated to coaching not only the fundamentals of baseball but works to ensure that the players are taught values of life so that they have the tools to be successful as they grow into young men. Updates on the Cape Coral Spartans Travel Teams will be showcased here.

Maple WARS! Ft. Myers, FL Saturday September 10 & Sunday September 11, 2016

This up coming weekend (09/17/16 and 09/17/16) both the 8U and 9U teams will be competing in at the SWFL September Showdown in Sarasota, FL.  Looking forward to cheering on these boys for the second weekend in a row!  Last weekend in just their second tournament, the boys were able to come in second and bring home some hardware.  We are all very proud of these boys and what they have been able to accomplish in just a short time together.  #teamworkmakesthedreamwork.  Good job coaches for always making sure these boys are ready to go.  #givemeathumbsup

Saturday September 10, 2016.  Fort Myers, FL at STARS complex.  First game, against the Fusion, a scrappy team from the Estero area.  The Spartans did a great job and came away with the W 7-5.  After 26 hours in the car, returning from Massachusetts, the 8U Spartans gave me a lot to cheer about!

A HUGE thanks to Scott Brucker and his family for coming out and cheering on the boys.  He has just become our newest sponsor, giving a percentage of his real estate commission if you mention the Spartans!  Thank you Scott for all that you do not only for the Spartans, but the community here in Cape Coral.

Game 2 was against the Rivals out if North Port.  The Spartan bats continued to impress, winning 11-1, enacting the mercy rule.  Good job boys!  #grandopeninggrandclosing

CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY!!! Game one vs the Rivals was a quick one.  The Spartans' bats were on fire, and went up early and often.  Scoring 5 runs in the first.  Then 5 runs in the second.  Three more in the third and this game was over, enacting the mercy rule.  This gave the boys a little bit of a break before taking on the Fusion in the finals championship game.  The boys knew they had their work cut out for them, as the Fusion had battled the Spartans on Saturday, all game, with the Spartans hanging on for the W.  With all of their success on Saturday, the Spartans were the #1 seed heading into Sunday.  The Spartans and Fusion battled all day with the game being called for lightning in the sixth inning.  Turns out, mother nature was the only thing that could stop the Spartans.  The Spartans ended the day as the runner up, falling to the Fusion 7-5.  The boys have a lot to be proud of, coming in 2nd, in only their SECOND TOURNAMENT!!!
